KG: Not Happening

Kevin Garnett does not want to be a Boston Celtic, according to his agent Andy Miller.  If Garnett was traded to Boston, he would opt out next summer.  The report is on ESPN.com, from Chris Sheridan:

Garnett’s agent, Andy Miller, told ESPN.com’s Chris Sheridan that Garnett made it known to the Wolves and Celtics late Wednesday that he had no interest in playing for Boston. The implication was clear: If Minnesota dealt him to Boston, Garnett would opt out of his contract next summer.

“The Boston trade isn’t happening,” Miller told Sheridan on Thursday. “If a trade were to happen, that’s not a destination that we’re interested in pursuing.”

This is great news for a lot of Boston Celtics fans.  This means that Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, the fifth pick and Wally will all be staying in the mean time.  This also increases the probability that Danny Ainge hangs on to the fifth pick.
